The briquettes are produced using coconut shell charcoal dust as the primary raw material. Coconut shell charcoal dust originates as a by-product in the process of manufacturing activated carbon. Therefore the raw material is sourced directly from activated carbon manufactures.

The production process involves mixing the charcoal dust with a starch-based binder, using two high capacity mixers. (Currently wheat flour is used). This mixture is eventually fed in to the briquetting machine, which is a heavy-duty high capacity unit that produces pillow shaped briquettes.

These briquettes are then placed on trays and stacked in trolleys, which are passed through a dryer to reduce the moisture content to acceptable levels.
The dried briquettes are then transferred to the packing area where it is first bagged and palletised to be loaded on to containers.
